User Guidelines of holoblox.org
These guidelines apply bindingly to all users of holoblox.org who create, publish, or distribute content, particularly articles. They are an integral part of the Terms of Use and govern the lawful, ethical, secure, and integrity-conscious use of the platform. Any action related to the creation or publication of content constitutes binding acceptance of these guidelines. Violations may result in case-specific sanctions, including account suspensions, technical restrictions, or, where applicable, reporting to the competent authorities.
1. Fundamental Principles of Use
All users are obligated to create content solely in a manner that complies with applicable laws, ethical principles, and human dignity. Content must be factually accurate, must not be deliberately misleading, falsified, or manipulative, and must not glorify actions that are illegal or infringe on the rights of third parties.
Users must fully respect the rights of third parties, including copyrights, trademarks, patents, personality rights, and data protection rights. This includes direct content such as texts, images, videos, or audio recordings, as well as metadata, comments, tags, or attachments.
Content must not impair the stability, functionality, structure, algorithms, or security of the platform. This includes the distribution of malware, viruses, trojans, exploits, or other programs that manipulate, capture, or destroy systems or data without authorization.
Users are obliged to independently verify whether content violates legal provisions or third-party rights. By submitting an article, the user acknowledges that it will be published automatically, and subsequent deletions or modifications can only be made by the operator.
Articles, meaning independently created content units including texts, images, graphics, videos, audio content, metadata, tags, and comments, may only be published with the correct username attributed.
2. Prohibited Content – General Principle
Articles must not be published if they violate legal provisions, public safety, platform integrity, ethical principles, or third-party rights. This includes, but is not limited to:
Criminally Relevant Content
Content that promotes, depicts, or encourages criminal acts, including theft, fraud, hacking, calls for violence, or terrorism, as well as content that glorifies, trivializes, or instructs on committing criminal acts.
Extremist, Discriminatory, or Hostile Content
Content motivated ideologically, politically, or religiously that promotes violence, hatred, or rejection of democratic principles, including:
- Racism, antisemitism, homophobia, transphobia, or other discriminatory attitudes;
- Ideological content undermining human dignity or encouraging harm against individuals or groups.
Content Endangering Minors or Pornographic Content
Any depiction of sexual acts or sexualized violence involving minors, child pornography, or content that even indirectly suggests, alludes to, or references such scenarios is strictly prohibited. This applies also to symbolic representations, animations, graphics, texts, or metadata that may imply sexualized actions involving minors.
Violence and Threatening Content
Content that depicts, promotes, or glorifies physical or psychological violence is prohibited, including:
- Direct violence such as physical attacks, threats with weapons, or harm to persons or animals;
- Indirect violence such as psychological abuse, bullying, intimidation, or coercion;
- Glorification of violence in any form that may induce imitation, fear, or panic.
Misleading, Manipulative, or Deceptive Content
Content that intentionally misleads or manipulates users, including:
- Deliberately false information, manipulated images, videos, texts, or sources;
- Impersonation of other individuals or creation of content under false identities;
- Content that distorts perception of reality or factual circumstances.
Violation of Third-Party Rights
Content that infringes upon third-party rights, including:
- Copyrighted works, trademarks, patents, software, or other intellectual property without authorization;
- Privacy and personality rights through unauthorized publication of names, images, or personal information;
- Confidential or proprietary information disclosed without consent.
Content Threatening Platform Functionality
Content that endangers the stability, security, or integrity of the platform, such as:
- Uploading malware, viruses, or trojans;
- Instructions, scripts, or links promoting hacking or exploitation of vulnerabilities;
- Circumventing security, moderation, or content filters.
3. Prohibited Conduct
- Using the platform for spam, flooding, mass submissions, or irrelevant content that disrupts operations or harasses other users.
- Using automated tools or bots without explicit permission from the operator.
- Manipulating visibility, reach, or discoverability of articles.
- Circumventing security or moderation mechanisms.
- Harassment, threats, blackmail, or intimidation of other users.
- Hacking, unauthorized access to accounts, databases, or systems.
4. Sanctions and Escalation
Sanctions are imposed on a case-by-case basis, depending on severity, repetition, and potential danger of the violation:
- Warning for minor first-time violations.
- Temporary account suspension for repeated or moderate violations.
- Permanent account suspension for serious violations, particularly criminally relevant offenses.
- Technical measures such as IP bans or access restrictions.
- Criminally relevant offenses may, but are not required to, be reported to the competent authorities.
5. Relation to Terms of Use
- These guidelines complement the Terms of Use and are binding.
- Updates are published on the platform and become automatically effective with continued use.
- The use of the platform is governed by these guidelines in conjunction with the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
